TRY THIS NOW: TECHNIQUE FOR SOOTHING AND BALANCING YOUR EYES

Spring energy is wonderful but springtime also means allergy time for some. Allergies can mean itchy, watery, or dry, uncomfortable eyes for some people.

The sunlight, which is growing stronger in spring, can also be hard on some people’s eyes who don’t have allergies.

In Five Elements Theory, the sun’s energy is ‘fire’ energy. The eyes are ‘wood’ energy and fire burns wood. So too much exposure to sunlight, especially during the core of the day, is not helpful for many people’s eyes.

Here is a technique from Head-to-Toe Healing: Your Body’s Repair Manual book, which can be very soothing and balancing to the eyes. It can also be helpful if your eyes feel tired or strained after spending too much time in front of a computer screen or TV. Please give it a try.

STEP 3

Alternate between massaging your eyebrows and massaging the bone under your eyes in this manner.

STEP 4

Put a smile on your face. See golden light in the areas you massage and visualize a healing message going into that light, such as “I see perfectly” or “My head feels fine.” Chant the sound “sheee.”

Repeat nine times. Doing this for Five minutes is best, less time is fine. If you can do it Two times a day – once in the morning and once in the early evening – that is best.

ENERGY POINTS

Since the beginning of time, people have used different healing and health care techniques and practices. Master Chunyi Lin has compiled some of the simplest, most effective self-care qigong techniques known and shares them with you in this book.

The seventy-six self-care techniques in this book are designed to stimulate your body’s natural healing ability for a wide variety of energy blockages. We are all born healers, not only of ourselves but also others. This book shows you how to aid yourself and others in healing and maintaining health.

For thousands of years Chinese scholars have been studying how the human body works looking for simple things we can do to stay healthy and recover quickly when we do become sick or injured.

They found special areas of the body that are key “energy points.” Stimulating these special areas can be very beneficial. The principle is similar to acupuncture but you don’t need needles and you can stimulate these points yourself.
