A Special Thanksgiving Message from Master Chunyi Lin

A Special Day of Giving Thanks

My dear friends, on this beautiful day of Thanksgiving, I send you my deepest blessings, gratitude, and so much love. This is a special time for us to connect with our hearts, with our families, and with the energy of the universe.

As I look back on our journey together, tears of gratitude just come to my eyes. I want to thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for your kindness, your loyalty, and your unwavering love. Thank you for your support for me, for my family, and for our global Spring Forest Qigong community. I feel this with so much emotion. Without you, I could not do what I do. So I thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

You are the heart of our shared mission: to bring “a healer in every home and a world without pain and suffering.” With all of you, we are walking this path together—helping ourselves, helping our families, and helping the world.

Thanksgiving: A Time for Healing and Balance

Thanksgiving is more than just a holiday; it is a powerful time for healing. As the seasons change, and the days grow shorter, the energy shifts. Emotionally, people often feel a sense of loneliness, sadness, or even depression. This holiday offers a perfect opportunity to balance this energy through the simple, profound practice of gratitude and appreciation.

Thanking others, thanking yourself, and thanking nature can help transform feelings of loneliness, grief, or anxiety into something deeply healing and supportive. It shifts your focus from what is lacking to the abundance that already surrounds you.

Mending Relationships with an Open Heart

For those who have had difficulties in relationships over the past year, this is a wonderful time to mend those connections. When you open your heart and tell people how much you appreciate them, a powerful healing energy is created for both you and for them. They can take in that loving energy in so many more ways than you can possibly imagine.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time for family and friends to gather, to celebrate their relationships, and to share the joy of what has been. It is a time to look forward to even greater happiness in the New Year to come. This is just the beginning of a big opening of the heart.

Letting Go of Old Stories

Sometimes, people feel apprehensive about holiday gatherings, concerned about opening old wounds or revisiting painful memories. I want to tell you that this is the perfect time to let go of the negative messages from those old stories.  If you focus on the negative side, your body will produce chemicals that make you feel these old things.

If you want happiness and joy, you must appreciate what you have learned from those experiences. You honor them, learn from them, and then move on, promising yourself to act and react better in the future. By doing so, you change the energy of those negative stories into something positive that helps you live a better life, both now and in the future.

Becoming a Love Radiator

Before you go to your Thanksgiving gathering, or anywhere, take a moment for this simple practice. Visualize everyone being happy and joyful. Bathe every person and the place you are going in beautiful, healing light. See them all smiling.

You are a Love Radiator. Every cell in your body is radiating love, and this love is very powerful. So, put a smile on your face, be a good listener, and appreciate every moment.

A Simple Practice for Abundant Gratitude

Gratitude and appreciation are very powerful thoughts and words. They are aspects of unconditional love, the most powerful force in the universe. To open your heart even more and make your love even stronger, I encourage you to express your gratitude as often as you can.

Try this and see what happens. Each day for the next month, find at least 10 things to be grateful for and express your appreciation for them.

You can express your appreciation to the sun for its life-giving light. You can thank the comfortable chair you are sitting in. You can even appreciate the broken sidewalk outside because it reminds you to be careful. You can express gratitude for your houseplant, your pet, the pen you write with, or your toothbrush. The key is to say it, either out loud or in your heart: “I appreciate you.” “I am so thankful for you.” “I bless you as you have blessed me.”

Try it and see how your love and happiness grow. See how your life changes. Everyone wants more gratitude, more appreciation, and more blessings coming back to them.
