 Ask Master Lin

Master LinDo you have something you would like to ask Master Lin?  Each month we will select a question that has been sent to us and publish the answer in this newsletter (your name will not be used). Please keep in mind that Master Lin does not diagnose medical conditions and will not be able to personally answer each question. If you would like a member of our support team to get back to you, please make note of that in your e-mail or letter. Send questions to
newsletter@springforestqigong.com.

Question: It seems that so many of us have weak kidney energy and/or insufficient kidney function. Are black sesame seeds good for rebuilding the kidney energy and helping with detoxification ability?  Are there any other foods that are beneficial to the kidneys, and are there any particular qigong exercises that help strengthen the kidneys' energy?

Answer: Black sesame seeds, black beans, and black olives--in fact, any black foods-are good for your kidney energy. It is important that we work to balance the energy of the whole body and not just try to work on part of it. If we focus only on one system, it is difficult to maintain balance of our total energy.

All of the Spring Forest Qigong exercises are excellent for strengthening the kidneys as well as balancing the entire energy system of the body. This is especially true when the active exercises are done standing. Also, remember to tap the tailbone if you have been sitting for any length of time to wake up the tailbone energy, which also enhances the kidney energy.

Massage + Qigong = Qi~ssage!

What could possibly increase the delights of a massage? The addition of qigong!

Qi~ssage is a technique created by Master Lin combining the energy principles of qigong with the art of massage. Like massage, Qi~ssage involves touching and physical stimulation of the body, using your hands, head, and heart to help yourself and others. Like qigong, Qi~ssage focuses on balancing and enhancing the flow of energy through the body's energy channels or meridians.

Qi ssage demoThere are twelve major energy channels in your body and hundreds of energy points. Each of these points affects the balance and flow of your body's energy; however, only a couple dozen of these energy points are vitally important in helping you heal and in helping you experience and maintain your optimal health and wellness.

In Qi~ssage you learn how to stimulate these key energy points in a specific order. Keeping the energy channels open and your energy flowing smoothly is the key to optimal health, wellness, and healing. Qissage, like qigong, can help you do this, assisting in removing and even preventing blockages, enhancing the flow of energy in your body and bringing it back into balance.

Qi~ssage will soon be available for you to experience, both in sessions at the SFQ Center and through a training kit (DVD, CD, and manual) that will be available through our website and at the Center beginning sometime next month.

Qi~ssage: the perfect antidote to holiday stress!

In the photo above, certified massage therapist and master healer Sheryl Scheller demonstrates Qi~ssage with willing participant Jesse Sia.

Video Testimonial

Jill Christensen of Minneapolis had been having "funny heart beats" and began looking for alternatives to her prescribed medication after she experienced adverse side effects. A friend suggested qigong master Chunyi Lin and his Spring Forest Qigong.

                                                        Jill Christensen

Jill says, "The funny heart beats were gone within two days of the first session. By the time I had my nuclear stress test, my heart was in perfect condition...and I no longer needed blood pressure medication."

She never expected her friend's suggestion would change her life!

During your half-hour session at the SFQ Center, you will sit comfortably and share your concerns with a Master Healer. He or she will move a hand several inches from your body to detect and remove energy blockages. Active exercises and/or healing meditations may be suggested for further benefit. When he is available, Master Lin will spend the last five minutes of your session continuing to assist you in your healing journey.

Schedule a private instruction session (30 minutes for $40 or 60 minutes for $60) and get one office session at the discounted rate of $70 (a $25.00 savings).  The office session must be scheduled at the time the private instruction is scheduled.
